Aussie – Chief Instructor / Pilot
Aussie is Southern Skydivers chief of safety. He completed his first skydive in with the Military in 1961, before travelling to the UK and joining the British Parachute Regiment. From here Aussie went on to serve on the British Army Parachute Team ‘The Red Devils,’ where he traveled the world doing displays and competitions.
Aussie moved back to Australia and joined the S.A.S. in 1972 and became the Chief Instructor of the S.A.S. Sport Parachute Club where he served for 21 years.
Now days Aussie gets his kicks out of piloting our ‘Silver Bullet,’ but still sneaks in as many jumps as he can.
Kevin – Instructor
Kev is one of our long-standing Tandem Masters, and is an awesome instructor. Many know him as a teacher at the local High School, but his real passion is teaching Skydivers! Kevin started skydiving in 1992, and he say’s it’s all about “the need for speed.”
Mitchell – Video Editor
Mitchell is our resident DZ grommet, and speedy video editor. His Dad is a local skydiver, and Mitch spends most of his weekends and school holidays either playing basketball or at the Drop Zone editing our customers’ videos. Check out some of his handy work on our DVD and Videos page.
Tooky – DZ All Rounder
Tooky, Took Man, The Tookster…what ever you want to call him…
Tooky started Skydiving in 1994, and pretty much lives for the sport. You will catch him most weekends at the DZ packing, editing DVD’s, and getting in the air as much as possible. He loves formation work, and nailing his landings.
